Just imagine if every teenager had the opportunity to know the love and hope that Christ offers to them. That’s what Student Venture is all about and you can help! Every successful ministry has an operational framework that supports the mission and facilitates growth. Operational roles require specialized gifts, skills, and abilities in areas such as Web design, accounting, computer technology and programming, graphic design, event planning, information systems, advertising, video production, communication, journalism, and more. Finance & Accounting :: Oversees the finances used to reach students and helps make sure we are accounting for our resources wisely
need :: finance, business, and accounting majors
Human Resources :: Helps find and equip
staff, interns and volunteers to reach more teenagers for Christ
need :: people with marketing and administrative skills who want to multiply and leverage their lives by finding and equipping the next generation of SV staff members
Emerging Strategies :: Develops new materials and strategies for increasing ministry effectiveness in evangelism and other key areas
need :: creative out-of-the-box thinkers
Conference Services :: Plans and sets up conferences where students place their faith in Christ and are equipped to make a difference in their world for Him
need :: administrative help to expand the impact of the conferences
Personal Assistant for a Ministry Leader :: Helps with the endless details that come with leading a national ministry
need :: detail-oriented people who enjoy serving in a behind-the-scenes role to help accomplish the big picture
Global Venture :: Coordinates groups of U.S. high school and college students that connect with and share the gospel with high school students in locations all over the world
need :: administrative help to expand their impact, marketing, writers
The Lab :: Works in the areas of graphic design, Web design and motion design, which includes Flash and video
need :: designers, programmers and project managers
Computer Services :: Uses technology
to be more effective as well as helps automate critical systems
and processes
need :: techies who love working with computers and database developers
APPLICATION INFORMATION
In most cases, if you'd like, you could serve in one of these support roles in our national headquarters and could work directly with students one afternoon a week.
The preview starts on Thursday night, February 19, and concludes Sunday morning, February 22. You should plan to fly into Orlando International Airport (MCO) by 8 p.m. Thursday; you can fly out anytime Sunday morning. Space is limited and you must apply to be considered.
If you are accepted for the preview, the weekend is free to you. You are responsible for your transportation to and from Orlando, Florida. If you qualify for a transportation scholarship, we will even help pay for your transportation. The weekend is for those who are strongly considering using their technical or operational skills in ministry with Student Venture.
